This is a 70 feet waterfall located at Arvalem, about 2 km
from Sanquelim and 8 km from Bicholim, in Valpoi taluka, North Goa. It becomes a thunderous falls just after the monsoon and its colour changes
to a muddy brown colour. It has the Shree
Rudreshwar Temple Temple alongside it and is a
site of an annual Shivratri Zatra. It has open cast iron ore mines all around it
and until recently most of the mines were active. Another interesting site in
the area is the "Aravalem Caves" also known as the Pandava caves, named
after the 5 Pandava brothers of the epic "Mahabharata". There is a
"Shivlinga" in each
cave .
